BILL MCKENZIE, although a graduate in mathematics from Glasgow University, became involved with The Violin Shop in 1997 through his interests in musical instruments. Having been trained in instrument making and repair he helped develop the workshops, now as senior partner in the business his time is equally divided between managing the shop and repair and restoration work, not only of violins, but also guitars, mandolins and assorted other members of the string instrument family.

RAY DANIEL, having been in many spheres of business, has always been a violin/viola player, and has been involved with a number of the orchestras and quartets in Glasgow. He bought The Violin Shop from the late Peter Moore (formerly lead bassist with the BBC) in 1992, and since then has indulged his love of music and collecting old instruments. Although now semi-retired he still manages to visit the shop in his role as consultant and derives great pleasure in seeing old instruments restored for future generations.

BRENDA MCCULLOCH has been involved in the music business for many years, as a performer, in music publishing, and as a founder member of The Glasgow Fiddle Workshop. She joined The Violin Shop in 2001, and trained as a bow rehairer and repairer under Corrie Schrijver. Now as a partner in the business she has many roles in the day to day running of the shop.
