The Violin Room contains a fascinating array of old violins, fully restored and set up in our own workshops.

Here, under the quizzical eye of the late, famed violinist, Horace Fellowes, whose portrait (by A. McGlashan) dominates one wall, instruments and bows can be tried and tested.

The warm, friendly atmosphere enables players of all levels and abilities to feel at ease.

Choosing the right instrument or bow can be a lengthy, time-consuming process and what could be a daunting exercise is helped by the experienced staff and the relaxed surroundings.
